Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) on the way.

With the different IEblog messages and IE developer boards hinting on IE8,  the eight edition (or maybe 7.5) will probably debut within a month or two of the RTM of Longhorn Server.  With all that is going on at Microsoft, and the fact that they want you to update to IE7, they probably will not mention IE8 until a lot closer to the release date of Longhorn Server.  Corporations and Consumers may hold out thinking "why upgrade twice".   Just my Thoughts....

IE 7 RTM imminate

From what I am speculating IE 7 will be released to media (RTM) sometime tommorrow (maybe even late tonight).  I would guess that if it does not go by tommorrow night it will be delayed next Tuesday or Wednesday.  Microsoft normally publishes there wares on a Tuesday or Wednesday, (that way it is not in the beginning of the week and it is hopefully not close enough to the weekend).

Look for a Automated deployment for Internet Explorer 7 RTM in two weeks.... before November hotfix release.... that way they have a opportunity to patch the 0-day exploits that are expected to be released after testing on the RTM version.

Automatic Delivery of Internet Explorer 7

Microsoft will be delivering IE7 via Windows Update as previously disclosed by Microsoft on July 26. What they are not telling you is the date it will be deployed except for 4th Quarter of 2006. Well everyone know Microsoft delivers their updates on the second tuesday of the month and that Vista should be RTM in late November Early December. Internet Explorer 7 has to be final before that date. Here at IE7Update.com we are predicting that IE7 will be released in Late September or early October and should not be freely distributed enough to make the October 10 patch release full distribution. So November 14, 2006 is the day that will live in infamy will be the day that Microsoft pushes the majical button called Windows Update.

Where do I get my information?

This is a common question I have been asked. Simply put, I get all my information from various blogs, downloads and company press releases. One of the most important is Microsoft IE Blog.
